Belarus’ upper house of parliament ratifies agreement with Cuba on mutual supplies

MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) - The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation passed the bill “On Ratification of the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Cuba on Cooperation on Mutual Supplies of 24 June 2014” at a sitting of the second session on 30 January, BelTA has learned.

The bill is designed to create the necessary legal framework to increase the value of reciprocal supplies of goods and services to $15 million for each party for a five-year period, and to identify new Belarusian and Cuban export and import enterprises.

The document will help expand the list of goods and specify the terms, prices, and conditions of mutual supplies of goods and services in the relevant contracts. Belarus and Cuba will also strengthen bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic sector.
