Belarus, UNICEF discuss efforts to keep children safe in cyberspace

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – On 9 September Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Ambrazevich met with UNICEF Representative in Belarus Tanja Radocaj in connection with the completion of her mission, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yuri Ambrazevich welcomed the active and effective work of the UNICEF Office in Belarus under the leadership of Tanja Radocaj, including support for Belarus' COVID-19 response strategy. The Belarusian diplomat spoke highly of the efforts of the UNICEF representative to engage government agencies in the work, in particular the Education Ministry, and welcomed the signing of a bilateral framework document on cooperation for 2022-2023.

The parties discussed key areas of cooperation between Belarus and UNICEF, including internet safety for children, assistance to juvenile delinquents, victims of abuse, and children with special needs.
