MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Demarcation works have been launched on the border with Ukraine at the Polesie Radiation and Environmental Reserve, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
“In Narovlya District demarcation works have begun to mark the Belarusian-Ukrainian border within the Polesie State Radiation and Enviromental Reserve. The works are carried out by a working group of the two countries as part of the decision of the joint Belarusian-Ukrainian demarcation commission,” the committee said.
BelTA reported earlier that under the demarcation plan of the Belarusian-Ukrainian state border for 2018 the main efforts were focused on the one-the-ground work. Over the year, more than 380km have been marked. Some 84km of the border will be demarcated in 2019, with about 400 border markers to be placed.
