
MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) - Belarus will open consulates general in Kazan and Ufa, Russia by 1 April 2026. The move is stipulated by the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.418 of 30 July 2025 that has been officially published by the national legal information registry, BelTA has learned.
By 1 April 2026, the existing branches of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia located in Kazan and Ufa will cease operations. Additionally, a new branch of the embassy is planned to open in Voronezh by 30 December 2025.
The Finance Ministry has been authorized to ensure funding for the establishment and operation of the specified consulates general and embassy branch.
The Council of Ministers resolution came into force as of the date it was passed.
