“Next year, we plan to upgrade this electric bus, extend its autonomous range to 250 km, and enable fast-charging capability. The head of state has set the specific task of providing suburban transport services with electric vehicles. Therefore, we are actively involved in this process, and next year such an electric bus will definitely be transporting passengers between Minsk and Smolevichi. We plan to equip other satellite towns with this very type of transport,” said Oleg Bytsko.
Electric buses are designed with suburban conditions in mind: enhanced comfort seating, seat belts, and special requirements for body strength. This is a completely new undertaking for the Belarusian enterprise. Scientists assisted the designers in performing the necessary calculations and understanding the technical nuances.
