Belarus has set up a working group to draft the roadmap. It is led by Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov and includes representatives of the Culture Ministry, Information Ministry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Healthcare Ministry, Education Ministry, Finance Ministry, and other bodies. The working group will also draw on expertise of specialists of Belarusian government agencies, research facilities, educational institutions, business associations and other organizations, as well as international experts.

The tasks of the working group are to define unique features and competitive advantages of Belarus and its regions in various fields as well as strong associations with the country, its regions, people, and products. Plans are also in place to develop approaches and a brand strategy to promote Belarus and its regions, taking into account the best international nation and location branding methods. The working group will prepare proposals to build on and promote positive perceptions, dismantle negative stereotypes, create a positive image of Belarus, and improve its positions in key international rankings.

The appropriate draft resolution is to be submitted to the government by 1 May 2021.
