MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – The 18th edition of the Pujiang Innovation Forum will be held in Shanghai on 20-23 September. Belarus will be the guest of honor at this large-scale international event, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee on Science and Technology.
The closing ceremony of the Years of Belarus-China Cooperation in Science, Technology, Innovation, “The Night of China and Belarus”, the China-Belarus Cooperation Forum will be held on the sidelines of the forum. Belarus will also present a national exposition. The exhibition will consist of two parts: the first will showcase the achievements of Belarus-China cooperation and the outcomes of joint projects, the second - the achievements of Belarusian science and technology.
Belarus' participation in the forum was discussed in detail during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Chinese city of Chengdu, where Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee on Science and Technology Tatiana Stolyarova met with the head of the organizing committee of the Pujiang Innovation Forum - Director of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality Luo Dajin.
Initiated in 2008, the Pujiang Innovation Forum is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. This year's forum is themed “Sharing Innovation and Shaping the Future”. More than 20 themed forums and exhibitions are planned, which will bring together over 65,000 participants from around the world.
