Belarus takes part in international conference on combating financing of terrorism

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to India Andrei Rzheussky and the embassy staff took part in the Third Ministerial Conference ‘No Money for Terror' in New Delhi, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in India.

The conference brought together representatives of more than 80 countries and international organizations. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony.

Addressing the conference Andrei Rzheussky noted that despite all the difficulties the Republic of Belarus keeps fighting international terrorism in a consistent and determined way.

He noted that the Republic of Belarus fulfills anti-terrorist resolutions of the UN Security Council and other international commitments, applies multi-level scrutiny to people from unstable regions and takes all possible measures to prevent uncontrolled financial flows to/from Belarus that can be used by terrorist groups in their illegal activity.
