MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarus took part in the Annual Diplomatic Charity Fair organized by the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB) in Balna, one of the most popular Hungarian exhibition complexes, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Hungary.
The event was held under the patronage of Szilvia Szijjártó-Nagy, the spouse of the minister of foreign affairs and trade of Hungary.
The Belarusian Embassy in Hungary organized a stand featuring Belarusian-made products.
The national stand offered confectionery, bakery, dairy and fish products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, souvenirs. Eleven Belarusian manufacturers were featured, including Savushkin Product dairy, Beresteisky Baker, Brest Distillery Belalko, Vitebsk Distillery Pridvinye, Krasny Pischevik confectionery, Lidskoe Pivo brewery, Santa Bremor producer of ready-to-use fish and seafood products, Borisov Bakery Plant, Minsk Sparkling Wine Factory, Soligorsk Poultry Farm, Molochny Mir dairy.
The Belarusian stand attracted a large number of visitors and sold all products receiving the most positive feedback from the organizers and visitors.
The Diplomatic Charity Fair is organized annually by the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest and was held for the 13th time. Traditionally, the fair features national stands with food, drinks, arts and crafts, light industry goods, cosmetics and much more. There is also a cultural program.
All proceeds are donated by the organizer to charity. In particular, in 2023 the proceeds went to the Hungarian foundations Együtt Az Autistákért (support for people with autism), Csodalámpa Alapítvány (support for terminally ill children) and SOS Gyermekfalvak (support for children in need). The project provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural diversity and traditions of different countries and to raise funds for those in need of help.
The fair arouse a high interest among the Hungarian public, among business and diplomatic communities and was widely covered in social and mainstream media.
