MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – The State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus substituted $147 million worth of imported items in 2024, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports.
“2024 was a very tense year for the State Authority for Military Industry. Given the geopolitical situation, we had to work simultaneously in multiple areas. Yet, against all the odds, I believe that this year was very productive for us,” Dmitry Pantus noted.
In particular, the industrial output was record high, the head of the State Authority for Military Industry informed. “The same was export. It was another record for the State Authority for Military Industry. We substituted about $147 million worth of imports of parts, components and works that were used in the creation of modern types of weapons. And this is no small feat,” he added.
