MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – The bill “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles on air service” was approved at the meeting of the second session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation, BelTA has learned.
The draft law is designed to express the consent of the Republic of Belarus to be bound by the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles on air service, signed in Kuala Lumpur on 21 October 2024.
The agreement is aimed at regulating operational and technical aspects in air transport and is the legal basis for the organization of air transportation. It will let air carriers operate passenger and cargo flights between the airports of the two countries.
The document regulates the issues of issuing operating permits, exemption from customs duties, taxes and other charges, as well as the organization of representative offices in the territory of the contracting states.
The ratification of the agreement will facilitate the establishment of air service between Belarus and Seychelles, strengthen and further develop tourist and economic ties between the entities of the two countries.
