MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Patrol units consisting of public security police officers have been set up in Belarus to monitor order and safety at filling stations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

To fulfill the instruction of the head of state on regulating traffic at filling stations, Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov held a meeting with the chiefs of regional police departments and the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee. He ordered the traffic police to constantly monitor the situation at filling stations, utilizing the national public security monitoring system, and to respond promptly to any incidents.

Following Ivan Kubrakov’s instructions, patrol units of public security police officers have been set up across the country to monitor roadside service facilities and ensure traffic safety.

Meetings to raise awareness were also conducted with filling station managers, emphasizing the need to protect customers and keep fuel dispensing areas separate from retail sales of food and other goods.
