Belarus' security chief: Unipolar world is no longer possible

GOMEL, 26 October (BelTA) - The architecture of international security has been destroyed, and the unipolar world is no longer possible. A multipolar world is emerging, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich said as he met with work collectives of Gomel Oblast to brief them on ongoing military and political developments in Belarus and abroad, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Volfovich recalled that such meetings are held throughout the country on the order of the president.

"The world is teeming with events and the confrontation is growing, unfortunately. These are the consequences of the struggle between East and West, the two camps. On one side is the Russian Federation, China. On the other is the collective West led by the United States, which does not want to give in to the emerging new world. But the architecture of international security has been destroyed; the unipolar world is no longer possible. A multipolar world is emerging," Aleksandr Volfovich noted.

The United States is trying to create hotbeds of tension wherever they set their foot on. "Wherever the United States appear, conflicts break out. They bring wars, tears, devastation, death, Aleksandr Volfovich said.

"The main goal of the United States is to eliminate the main competitor - the Russian Federation," he stressed.
