MOSCOW, 6 September (BelTA) – On the final day of the Eastern Economic Forum in the Russian city of Vladivostok Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik held negotiations with Governor of Russia’s Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako, the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia told BelTA.
Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Oleg Kozhemyako discussed the most topical matters on the extremely saturated and dynamic agenda of Belarus’ cooperation with the region. They also reviewed progress in fulfilling the agreements reached in the course of regular contacts at various levels. A delegation of the city of Vladivostok will soon leave for Minsk for the sake of taking a close look at the expanding range of products made by Belarusian industrial giants. There are plans to buy 30 buses this year.
The creation of a multibrand center for selling Belarusian agricultural machines is nearing completion in Primorye Territory. Construction workers are still busy but Belarusian machines are already positioned and are available for sale at the site. An agreement was reached to consider the possibility of setting up another center to sell urban vehicles, passenger vehicles, and municipal vehicles. Belarusians are working on designing social facilities for Primorye Territory. The region is considering the possibility of large-scale and long-term involvement of Belarusian construction companies.
In conclusion of the meeting Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Oleg Kozhemyako signed a plan of events to be held in 2025-2026 in order to realize the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Primorye Territory on cooperation in trade, economy, science and technology, social and cultural cooperation.
BelTA reported earlier that Aleksandr Rogozhnik has previously held negotiations with Governor of Russia’s Sakhalin Oblast Valery Limarenko, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev, Governor of Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov, and Acting Governor of Khabarovsk Territory Dmitry Demeshin on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
