MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) – The National Union of Tourism Industry of Belarus and the Perm Territory Tourism Development Center from Russia have signed a cooperation agreement, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Union of Tourism Industry of Belarus.

The document provides for the exchange of best practices and information, joint projects, events and programs aimed at promoting tourism and attracting travelers.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Union of Tourism Industry Dmitry Skvorchevsky, tourism is an important part of public life. It contributes to economic growth and strengthens cultural and social ties. “The signed agreement opens up new opportunities for joint initiatives and inter-regional cooperation,” he said.

The documents were signed on the sidelines of the Perm Business Days forum that was held in Perm, the Youth Capital of Russia. Belarus' experience in promoting medical tourism was presented at the forum. Excursion tours and tours combined with health check-ups are the most popular types of inbound tourism. The combination of recreation and health improvement allows maintaining a steady tourist flow to Belarus even in the low season.

On 1 April, direct flights were resumed between Perm and Minsk. Flights are available twice a week - on Tuesday and Saturday - and will be operated until the end of October. The direct flights are popular among business people and tourists of this Russian region. Belarusians are also interested in traveling to Perm Territory.

The Perm Business Days forum is held annually. It offers a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to find new partners, showcase their products and solutions, and discuss government support measures. In 2025, more than 7,500 people took part in the event - both offline and online. Entrepreneurs presented new products and developments, shared their expertise and knowledge, received feedback, and communicated with representatives of foreign companies.
