Belarus, Russia to sign agreement on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination documents

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) - The governments of Belarus and Russia will enter into an agreement on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates by means of exchanging notes. The decision is spelled out in Council of Ministers' Resolution No.803 of 21 November 2022, published on the national legal internet portal on 23 November, BelTA has learned.

The document provides for the adoption of the proposal of the Healthcare Ministry, agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Justice Ministry to conclude an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates by the exchange of notes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to carry out the necessary procedures for the conclusion of the agreement by the exchange of notes.

Earlier, the Russian government approved the signing of an agreement with Belarus on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination documents.
