Belarus, Russia to exchange electronic services

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are planning to exchange electronic services, First Deputy Director of the National Center for Electronic Services Sergei Rudnev told journalists at a press conference hosted by BelTA on 11 October.

“We have been promoting this initiative for a long time, it is essential for smooth provision of services to Belarusian nationals in the Russian Federation, as well as Russian citizens in the Republic of Belarus. Belarus is ready for this process. We are to embark on the first stage of integration of the Russian System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction and the Belarusian National Automated Information System as part of the ratification of the agreement on the mutual recognition of visas,” Sergei Rudnev said.

According to him, this will be “the most important step in the initial integration”. “As soon as this process is completed, we will be able to talk about a higher level integration in the provision of electronic services to citizens of our states,” the expert emphasized.
