MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are ready to ensure the military security of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in any circumstances, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The source said: “As it was reported earlier, Russian strategic aviation units will carry out regular flights in Belarus' air space. At present two supersonic strategic missile-carrying bombers Tu-160 are carrying out a number of combat training tasks, including the imitation of a bombing attack in the aviation training area Ruzhansky without using air-delivered ordnance. Simultaneously Belarusian fighter jets are practicing their interception and are providing escort along the flight route.”
The Defense Ministry added that the ongoing test of the duty forces belonging to the Union State joint regional air defense system as well as the tasks being accomplished testify to the readiness and resolve of Belarus and Russia to ensure military security of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in any conditions in the air and on the ground.
