"In the context of the difficult military and political situation around the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, the level of military-technical cooperation between the two countries has increased significantly. He stated that military cooperation between Belarus and Russia is a cornerstone of the Union State, is of a strategic nature and has been an example for post-Soviet countries for many years. "The purposeful and planned work carried out by our countries to create an effective military security system has ensured the framework for the successful operation of the regional group of troops," the military attaché said.

"I am convinced that the Belarusian-Russian military cooperation, which is based on friendship, trust and mutual understanding, will continue to serve as a guarantee of successful cooperation for the benefit of our states and help ensure the security and stability of the Union State," he stressed.

Aleksei Yershov noted that the Fatherland Defenders Day has a special meaning for citizens of Belarus and Russia. "It symbolizes the continuity of patriotic traditions, courage and fortitude of people in uniform who guard the security and independence of their country. The Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia continue the glorious traditions of the heroes-liberators with honor and ensure sovereignty, territorial integrity and the defense capabilities of our countries," the defense attaché at the Belarusian Embassy in Russia added.
