MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Romania Andrei Grinkevich visited Romania's Calarasi County and Giurgiu County, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Bucharest.
“The ambassador met with representatives of the biggest local companies. The parties discussed the projects to enhance trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Calarasi County and Giurgiu County, to give access to the local food and timber markets for a wide range of Belarusian companies,” the Belarusian embassy noted.
The parties outlined concrete steps to promote cooperation in promising areas such as forestry, agriculture, and tourism.
Special consideration was given to ways to involve Belarusian companies in infrastructure projects in the countries, including the ones to upgrade public utilities facilities and renovate the road network.
Ambassador Andrei Grinkevich also presented Belarus' export potential, including services in tourism, education, and healthcare. He pointed out that there is room for further development of the Belarusian-Romanian cooperation in science and technology and also green economy investment projects in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
