
MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – The bill to ratify the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles was passed at a sitting of the second session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation on 14 May, BelTA learned.
The draft law was submitted to the House of Representatives by the Council of Ministers on 10 April. It is designed to express the consent of the Republic of Belarus to be bound by the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles on Air Service, signed in Kuala Lumpur on 21 October 2024.
The agreement aims to regulate operational and technical aspects of air transport and serves as the legal basis for organizing air services. In the future, this will allow airlines to operate passenger and cargo flights between the airports of both countries.

The document establishes the procedure for granting rights to operate designated routes, regulates the procedure for issuing operating permits, exemption from customs duties, taxes and other charges and organization of representative offices on the territory of the contracting states.
The ratification of the agreement will contribute to the establishment of air services between Belarus and Seychelles, strengthening and developing tourism, economic, and commercial ties between entities in both countries.
