MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – Natalya Eismont, Press Secretary of the Belarus President, has welcomed foreign participants of the sport and entertainment show Time of Our Victories, which will take place in Minsk Arena today, on behalf of the head of state, BelTA has learned.
Natalya Eismont said: “I am very glad to welcome you in our country, in the Republic of Belarus before our show on behalf of our president, whom I am sure you all know perfectly well. I am glad to welcome you here, in Minsk Arena. Today you and I will become witnesses of a historical event in the social and cultural sphere of our country. Such a massive show has never been held in our country before. It is a bold idea of the organizers.”
The press secretary noted that today Belarusian athletes are not alone. They are in the company with the best friends from all over the world. “Your countries – Russia and the People’s Republic of China – are our strategic partners. We are always together. Both in good times and in slightly more complicated times. Today’s show is a direct confirmation of that. This is why once again on behalf of the president I welcome you to our country! I strongly hope that you like it here. I understand that you work here. You have rehearsals all the time and don’t want sightseeing tours or entertainment. Nevertheless, I hope that you have managed to see our country at least a bit. And certainly, we will always be glad to have you as guests,” she assured.
Natalya Eismont remarked that the offer covers more than sport competitions or entertainment projects: “Just come to Belarus as guests! It is beautiful and tasty in our country. I think that not all of you can eat a lot but you can eat just a bit at times.”
The press secretary of the Belarusian leader said she believes that foreign participants make a huge contribution to the Time of Our Victories show and embellish it with their national identity. “It is the most important thing. You represent your countries in the best possible light. And you are simply an embellishment of our show. We are very grateful to you,” she said.
Natalya Eismont pointed out that surprises await the foreign guests at the hotel. “Small gifts from the president await you. To make your arrival unforgettable. To make the memory of today’s event last,” the president’s press secretary concluded.
