Belarus PM speaks about Union State agenda

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko spoke about the main issues on the agenda at the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

“Today we are set to consider the issues related to comfortable tariffs for communication and data transfer services in the Union State. This is a specific instruction of the heads of state. We will also consider the status of goods of the Union State, consumer rights protection, development of suburban railway service between the regions of the two countries, common information space, scientific and technological development of the Union State, equal tariffs for railway transportation. As you can see, the agenda is full - from serious global issues to issues that make life easier for ordinary citizens of our countries and entrepreneurs. A number of issues are still in the focus of our attention. International work on them continues. We are looking for mutually acceptable solutions for them. The Union State construction process is constantly going on in various tracks and on the platforms of various ministries and agencies. This work produces constant results, because our life is very dynamic,” Roman Golovchenko said.

In his words, the process of the Union State construction has become more practice-oriented in recent years. “We have significantly strengthened interagency cooperation in accordance with the three-year program documents  - the main directions of implementation of the provisions of the Union State Treaty. A significant number of meetings and negotiations at various levels have been held since the previous meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers in November 2023. The intensity of these contacts and their productivity demonstrate our sincere mutual interest in the development of multifaceted cooperation. The ministries and agencies work closely together and raise a large array of issues. The main ones lie in the plane of the implementation of the provisions of the Union State Treaty for 2024-2026,” the prime minister said.
