Belarus' PM chairs committee to organize Belarusian People's Congress

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) - The organizing committee to prepare and hold the sessions of the 7th Belarusian People's Congress is headed by the Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. The resolution of the Presidium of the Belarusian People's Congress approved the composition of the organizing committee. The relevant information was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

The organizing committee is to prepare and hold the second session of the 7th Belarusian People's Congress. It has the right to involve specialists of state bodies and other state organizations in accordance with the established procedure and to request from these bodies and organizations the necessary information.

The deputy chairman of the organizing committee is the deputy chairman of the Belarusian People's Congress.

The organizing committee includes the heads of the Council of the Republic, the House of Representatives, the Constitutional Court and  the Supreme Court, the head of the Belarus' President Administration, the state secretary of the Security Council, the chairman of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate, the first deputy prime minister, the deputy prime minister for culture, education, healthcare, tourism, physical culture and sports.

The organizing committee also involves the chairmen of the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, the chairman of the State Security Committee, and the head of the Council of Ministers; the architecture and construction minister, the minister of internal affairs, housing and utilities minister, the healthcare minister, the minister of foreign affairs, the information minister, the culture minister, the emergencies minister, the communications and informatization minister, the transport and communications minister, the finance minister and the energy minister.

Moreover, the organizing committee includes the president's press secretary, the head of the Belarusian People's Congress Secretariat and the first secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union.

As it was previously reported, the second session of the 7th Belarusian People's Congress is due to be held in Belarus in April this year.
