Belarus’ PM arrives in Russia's Ufa on working visit

MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) — Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has arrived in Russia's Ufa on a working visit. He was welcomed by Head of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov at the Ufa International Airport, BelTA has learned.

In the city of Ufa the Belarusian head of government will have a working meeting with Head of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. The visit is timed to the official celebration of the 450th anniversary of Ufa’s foundation. As part of the festivities Roman Golovchenko will take part in a flower-laying ceremony at the monument in honor of Major-General Minigali Shaimuratov, a ceremony to lay a time capsule and in the solemn opening of Bashkortostan’s wrestling center.

Apart from that, the prime minister of Belarus will go to the village of Baltika, Iglino District. Flowers will be laid at the memorial in honor of fallen Great Patriotic War soldiers. A commemorative sign in honor of the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from Nazi invaders will be solemnly unveiled. Roman Golovchenko will be made familiar with the operation of a historical and cultural center and will visit the ethnographic park Terra. Negotiations with top Iglino District officials are also part of the itinerary.

In conclusion of the trip the Belarusian head of government will visit the Amkodor-Agidel factory, which makes grain-drying complexes. The Belarusian-Russian joint venture makes equipment for the post-harvest treatment of cereals, leguminous crops, and oil-bearing-crops. In October 2023 Roman Golovchenko participated in the factory’s inauguration ceremony. He will have an opportunity to see results of the factory’s work now.
