
MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) - A meeting of the second session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation approved the draft law “On the ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines on a visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and service passports” on 23 April, BelTA has learned.
The agreement was signed in Minsk on 15 November 2024 by Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov and Philippine Non-Resident Ambassador to Belarus Igor Garlit Bailen.
The agreement aims to create favorable conditions for official travel by citizens of Belarus and the Philippines, holders of valid diplomatic and service passports, for the benefit of the both states.
According to the agreement, citizens of Belarus and the Philippines, holders of diplomatic and service passports, are exempted from the need to obtain visas for entry, exit, transit and stay in the territory of the states of the parties for a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of first entry. The total duration of visa-free stay cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year.
