MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – The 41st plenary week of the Eurasian Group on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (EAG) kicked off in Indore, India on 25 November. Participating in the event are representatives of the State Control Committee, the Investigative Committee, and the National Bank of Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Control Committee.
The plenary week will discuss mutual evaluations of anti-money laundering systems and technical assistance. Participants are expected to approve a number of typological studies on relevant topics, including those related to the regulation of virtual assets.
The 29th meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units will be held on the margins of the EAG plenary session.

The group includes nine states: Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The Department of Financial Monitoring of the State Control Committee represents Belarus in the EAG.
