Belarus, Pakistan discuss cooperation prospects in agriculture

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa met with Federal Minister for National Food Security of Pakistan Syed Fakhar Imam, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the preparations for the fifth meeting of the Belarusian-Pakistani joint working group on agriculture which is due to take place in Minsk.

The parties exchanged opinions on the state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Pakistani cooperation in agriculture. The parties also talked over the ways to increase mutual supplies of food products to the markets of the two countries, mechanize agriculture and conduct research in the area. The parties confirmed readiness to joint work and agreed to keep in touch to address the most important issues of cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan.
