MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) - The bill to ratify the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on international road transport was passed at a sitting of the second session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
The agreement, signed in Islamabad on 26 November 2024, aims to regulate operational and technical aspects related to carriage of goods and passengers by road between Belarus and Pakistan and in transit through their territories.
The document establishes procedures to issue permits and special permits for international road transport, regulates mutual exemptions from customs duties, taxes, and other fees.
The implementation of this international treaty will promote cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan in road transport and increase the export of transport services to Pakistan and neighboring countries.
