Belarus offers stay extension for Serbian citizens stranded in Minsk

MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – Belarus has extended a stay for several Serbian citizens who did not manage to leave Minsk in time due to travel restrictions imposed by some states over the coronavirus situation, BelTA learned from the Serbian Embassy in Belarus.

“Several citizens of Serbia have been unable to return to Belgrade and got stranded in Minsk, while the allowed period of their stay in Belarus ended. Belarus showed understanding and prepared all the necessary documents to extend the stay of Serbian citizens in Minsk,” the embassy noted.

Serbian airports are currently shut down for passenger planes, and the Belavia airline temporary suspended all flights to Belgrade.
