MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – The National Library of Belarus has launched a news ticker with words of encouragement for the Italian people to show solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus, BelTA has learned.
The light panel of the National Library displayed the Italian flag and the phrase “Belarus stands with Italy”.
The campaign was initiated by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Taking part in the event to launch the news ticker was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Belarus Mario Giorgio Stefano Baldi.
The death toll from the outbreak of coronavirus in Italy has already topped 8,000.
