
MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarus welcomes the delegation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar led by Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing. A Belarus-Myanmar business forum began in Minsk within the framework of the official visit, BelTA has learned.
Presentations of the work of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), heads of Myanmar companies, who represent key economy branches, will take place during the forum. Those are the textile industry, jewelry, tourism, animal husbandry, and fishing.
Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko and Min Aung Hlaing addressed participants of the forum with welcoming remarks.
Speeches and presentations by the leadership of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Communications and Informatization Ministry, and OAO Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange will take place within the framework of the forum.
The signing of a number of agreements on cooperation will become an important result of the forum. It will allow bolstering economic ties between Belarus and Myanmar.
