Belarus' MP: Poland demonstrates cynicism, antihumanism towards refugees

MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) - Poland demonstrates cynicism and antihumanism in respect to refugees, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industry, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport and Communications of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vasily Panasyuk said as he commented on the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border, BelTA has learned.

“Through this crisis Europe has vividly demonstrated us its anti-democratic approaches and violation of international rights. That is a manifestation of cynicism and antihumanism in relation to civilians, with a heavy deployment of armed forces against unarmed migrants. It is simply incomprehensible when water cannons and aggressive liquids were put in use. Moreover, we are already talking about an elementary violation of the state border,” said Vasily Panasyuk.

According to him, a constructive dialogue is necessary to resolve the situation. “Belarus is a well-established legal state with its own laws and rules. These rules are followed by migrants on the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” the MP said.

According to Vasily Panasyuk, it is Belarus that has extended a helping hand to the refugees, providing them with humanitarian aid.
