MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) - The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the EU's declared "support for civil society and democratic forces in Belarus." In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the EU is actually aiding and abetting terrorist means to achieve its goals, BelTA has learned.
"Special attention should be paid to the overemphasized ‘support of the European Union for civil society and democratic forces of Belarus’. Brussels' undisguised support for exclusively pro-Western, Russophobic and nationalist forces is alarming," the ministry said.
“The EU should understand that its interaction with certain persons, who are sheltered and funded by Poland and Lithuania and who call for and who were proven to carry out the activities to overthrow the legitimate government and constitutional order in Belarus using armed or terrorist methods, shows that it consciously supports criminals, finances extremists and does not shy away from using terrorist means to achieve its goals,” the ministry stressed.
