
MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) - Belarus plans to increase travel services exports by 18% this year, Yekaterina Goncharenok, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department of the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry, said in a new episode of BelTA’s Nation Speaks project.
According to Yekaterina Goncharenok, 2024 posted growth across all key indicators in the tourism sector. “Travel services exports are the major indicator. Inbound tourism is a priority area for tourism development. Its growth last year made up 128.4%, exceeding pre-pandemic records. Before the pandemic, the record level of exports was $266 million,” she said.

In January-March 2025, travel services exports went up by more than 20%. By the end of the year, travel services exports are predicted to increase by 18%.
