Belarus issues commemorative coins dedicated to Belarusian Railway

MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – The National Bank of Belarus issued a collection of commemorative coins called “History of Belarusian Railway: Trains" on 17 June. The collection includes coins featuring a steam locomotive, a diesel locomotive, an electric locomotive, a diesel train, and an electric train, each with the nominal value of Br2, BelTA learned from the National Bank of Belarus.

The coins weigh 5.81g and have a diameter of 23.5mm. The outer ring is made of steel coated with copper and brass, while the center is steel coated with copper and nickel. Each coin will be minted in a limited edition of 25,000.

The coins are circular in shape with a raised rim on both sides. The edge features a repeating inscription "BELARUS" along with national ornament elements. Minting was carried out at the Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The National Bank emphasized that these coins are legal tenders of the Republic of Belarus and should be accepted for all types of payments at their face value without restrictions.
