
MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin held a meeting with Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Aziz Nasirzadeh in Minsk on 12 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
The parties discussed the current state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined ways to intensify it in areas of mutual interest. The ministers signed the final protocol of the visit.

After the talks, the defense ministers of Belarus and Iran paid tribute to the victims of the Great Patriotic War and laid flowers at the Victory Monument on Victory Square in Minsk.
State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich also held a meeting with Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Major-General Aziz Nasirzadeh. The parties exchanged views on major issues on the international agenda and discussed cooperation prospects.
