This project is very important for Belarus,” Andrei Naumovich emphasized. He added that relevant invitation was extended to the Polish colleagues.
Andrei Naumovich said that Belarusian and Polish MPs maintain an open dialogue based on trust. “We have no closed subjects. We discuss all issues, from politics and economy to social development, including healthcare, culture and education. Besides, we hope to attract Polish investments, Polish capital to Belarus. The current trade of $2 billion is not the highest we can reach. We have all conditions to add another $1 billion. Chairman of the Polish-Belarusian parliamentary group Adam Andruszkiewicz also emphasized that the main goal of the visit is to discuss economic issues. “Our today's meeting and the visit in general are focused on economic cooperation, so we meet not only with MPs, but also with businessmen. We have already paid visits to some quite advanced enterprises in Novogrudok and Lida. We see that the countries can cooperate successfully,” he noted.
Arkadiusz Mularczyk, deputy chairman of the Polish-Belarusian parliamentary group, said that the Polish side is glad to have an opportunity to meet with colleagues from the Belarusian parliament, with representatives of the regions and businessmen. “This cooperation is important for us. We would like it to further develop. This is the first visit of the kind, and we invite our colleagues to Poland so that they could get familiar with the parliament, self-government bodies.
