Belarus, ICRC sign joint plan of action for 2024

MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich and head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Belarus Sebastian Fustier signed a plan of joint action between state and other organizations of Belarus and the ICRC for 2024, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This plan is concluded on an annual basis to coordinate the actions of the Belarusian government bodies and the ICRC. The document envisages projects on the exchange of experience between government bodies and organizations of Belarus and ICRC experts in the provision of assistance to migrants, the implementation of international humanitarian law, support for the capabilities of Belarusian government bodies and organizations in emergency preparedness and response, and sharing the information about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

The International Committee of the Red Cross is an international humanitarian organization founded in Switzerland in 1863. The organization operates on the principles of neutrality and impartiality, providing protection and assistance to victims of armed conflicts. It is an integral part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
