Belarus hosts over 27,000 visa-waiver tourists since 15 April

MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) – More than 27,000 foreign nationals have visited Belarus since it reopened border for visa waiver arrivals from Lithuania and Latvia on 15 April 2022, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

"For three weeks since 15 April, 27,485 foreign citizens took advantage of the opportunity to visit Belarus without a visa. Among them there were 16,948 citizens of Lithuania, 3,101 non-citizens and 7,436 citizens of Latvia. Last weekend, from 7 to 10 May, Belarus hosted 3,979 arrivals. Most of them, 2,382 people, were citizens of Lithuania, and also 1,170 citizens and 427 non-citizens of Latvia," the State Border Committee said.
