MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – A delegation from the Republic of Korea has arrived in Belarus on a familiarization tour, BelTA learned from the National Tourism Agency.

The visitors have already seen some gems of Belarus’ historical heritage. The itinerary included a tour of the Mir Castle Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. “The delegation was impressed by the grandeur of this medieval castle and learned about the rich history of this unique place,” the National Tourism Agency informed.
The tour participants then proceeded to the Nesvizh National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guests admired the majestic palace and park complex, the former residence of the Radziwill princes, renowned for its beauty and luxury. The day concluded with a visit to a performance at the National Opera and Ballet Theater.
The program for 29 and 30 October includes a tour of the National Art Museum, a master class in the Korean folk art of minhwa, and participation in the opening ceremony of a Korean folk painting exhibition. A sightseeing tour of the capital (by bus and on foot) will introduce the guests to Minsk’s historical and modern landmarks. The program also allows for active leisure pursuits.

The familiarization tour was organized by the Sports and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus in conjunction with the National Tourism Agency to promote cultural ties and facilitate tourist exchange. The agency expressed hope that the visit will serve as an impetus for promoting Belarusian tourism in the Republic of Korea.
