MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) - Belarusian border guards together with their Latvian counterparts and the Israeli Embassy in Belarus organized the transit of 21 Israeli students to their homeland via Belarus on the night of 21-22 March, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
Having passed the Latvian checkpoint, a group of students had two minibuses waiting near the border. The Belarusian checkpoint designated a channel for the movement of the foreign nationals. Border officers carried out necessary border control procedures while the public health service - screening measures.
The buses were escorted by the road police to Minsk National Airport. The Israeli citizens left Minsk for Tel Aviv at 11.00.
