GRODNO, 5 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian city of Grodno and the Chinese city of Suining have signed a memorandum on the establishment of friendly cooperation at the Grodno City Executive Committee, BelTA learned from the city’s executive committee.
The guests from China arrived in Grodno ahead of the Grodno City Day and will take part in the festive events.
The document provides for the development of partnership in social and economic spheres. In particular, the parties plan to step up joint efforts in sales, organizing cultural and tourist events, and facilitating academic exchanges for univesity students and specialists.
The Suining delegation is set to explore Grodno’s education system, tour industrial facilities, and visit Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Not so long sgo, a delegation from Grodno visited China. Talks held in Longnan City, Gansu Province, resulted in agreements in healthcare, education and tourism.
