
MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ Gomel Oblast and Russia’s Kursk Oblast signed an agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science and technology and culture on January 11. The signing ceremony took place in Moscow during the presentation Kursk Oblast at the Russia exhibition at Moscow’s VDNKh, the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee told BelTA.
The document was signed by Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee, and Roman Starovoyt, Governor of Russia’s Kursk Oblast.
The regions have been building the cooperation since the first bilateral agreement signed back in October 1997, Gomel Oblast Executive Committee noted.
"Our close friendship gives us huge opportunities and unlimited resources to further build up a mutually beneficial relationship," Ivan Krupko emphasized.
