MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) - Belarus placed first in the annual national costumes competition in Beijing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
Second prize went to Malaysia, and third to Russia. The Belarusians showed national traditions, dance and artistic skills and won the hearts of the viewers and high marks from the jury.
The event was held in China for the eighth time. Belarus placed second last year.
Belarus and China have been steadily developing cultural ties alongside with other areas of bilateral cooperation. The two states exchange days of culture, exhibitions and concerts to learn more about each other's culture.
