MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Belarus' national exposition at the Paris Book Fair has highlighted the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.
Visitors of the expo that ran on 24-27 March saw a number of publications issued to mark the date: Francysk Skaryna. From the Great City of Polotsk, By Francysk Skaryna's Roads, Belarus' Enlighteners: Euphrosine of Polotsk. Kirill of Turov. Francysk Skaryna, the children's encyclopedia Francysk Skaryna consisting of three books, and many more. The 20-volume publication The Book Legacy of Francysk Skaryna was presented at the expo.
The delegation of Belarusian book printers did not only present new books to visitors of the Paris Book Fair but also donated some of the publications to the Paris-based National Institute of Oriental Languages and Cultures (INALCO). The donation of Belarusian books is one of the events of the Belarusians in the World program of the Culture of Belarus state program.
