Belarus' emergencies minister meets with Azerbaijani PM

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Belarus' Emergencies Minister Vadim Sinyavsky has met with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov in Baku to discuss bilateral cooperation in emergency prevention and response,  BelTA learned from the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the high level of interstate relations, and highlighted an important role of the two heads of state in maintaining momentum in bilateral cooperation across the board.

As noted, the rescue agencies of Belarus and Azerbaijan have been cooperating for many years in the field of emergency prevention and response. This includes the exchange of best practices and personnel training. The parties emphasized the importance of the Comprehensive Action Plan for 2025-2027 signed in June 2024 to implement the Cooperation Agreement between the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus and  the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan of 2006.

The parties also explored prospects to expand cooperation in emergency prevention and response and exchanged views on the supplies of fire-fighting equipment.
