MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – Belarus has diverted part of China's Vero Cell Inactivated vaccines it received as humanitarian aid to vaccinate refugees. This vaccine was registered by WHO and is used by many countries of the world, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus.
Most of the citizens of Iraq, Syria and other countries who were relocated to the logistics center and the Svitanok sanatorium (Porechie agro-town), have vaccination certificates. However, several dozen refugees have asked to get a vaccine.
The vaccination will be administered in the first-aid station set up in the logistics center by healthcare workers from Grodno Polyclinic No. 7.
The press service informed that one of the refugees was diagnosed with coronavirus on 17 November.
At present Belarus has more than 2.8 million doses of vaccines, including more than 1.9 million doses of Vero Cell.
