MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – The West is preparing for military operations, Belarus’ Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin told the Rossiya 24 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Today we see that Western Europe, led by the United States, is taking a set of measures to prepare for military action. We understand against whom these military actions will be directed,” said Viktor Khrenin.
The defense minister emphasized that in addition to actions of ground forces, there are attempts to carry out aerial reconnaissance of the territory of Belarus.
“We see frequent and persistent attempts to conduct all kinds of reconnaissance against Belarus. This includes radio reconnaissance and air reconnaissance by manned and unmanned aircraft. From five to nine sorties every day. This includes space reconnaissance, we also see their keen interest in our military camps and bases,” emphasized Viktor Khrenin.
