Belarus, China to resume exchange of students, specialized healthcare professionals

MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – Belarus' Ambassador to China Yuri Senko met with Zeng Yixin, Vice Minister of the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, on 26 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Beijing.

The Ambassador thanked the Chinese side for the Chinese vaccine against COVID-19 provided to the country following an agreement between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He expressed the hope for continued constructive cooperation with the Chinese vaccine manufacturers with the support of the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China. He also suggested intensifying exchanges of medical personnel after the epidemic situation gets back to normal.

Zeng Yixin highlighted the high level of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation on all fronts, confirmed readiness to assist Belarus in the fight against COVID-19, in particular, in what concerns the cooperation with leading Chinese vaccine manufacturers.

Zeng Yixin supported the Ambassador's proposal to resume exchanges of students and healthcare professionals of the two countries.
